| Tracy Chang is an exceptional teacher. Her methods are highly effective and very original. What makes Tracy unique is her multi-faceted approach. She sings and performs dances; reads books and gives lectures; prepares food and designs crafts. All of these practices not only capture my children's attention, but they also reinforce my kids' vocabulary as Tracy builds upon their knowledge each lesson. I have four boys with very different learning styles so it's fascinating to observe which of Tracy's techniques works most effectively with each child. For instance, my son Eli learns best through music. Whereas Walter needs stories and Nate food. The ultimate result is that ALL of my boys have gradually picked-up the language and now fully incorporated the vocabularly into their daily lives. It's amazing. Not only have my kids learned how to say in Mandarin their favorite things like "superman" and "ice cream," but Tracy had also taught them the cultural significance of the Chinese New Year and the art of making a fantastic dumpling. As a result, the boys have come to more fully appreciate Chinese customs and cuisine. I was once a teacher myself at the university-level, and on occassion, I was asked to assess teachers' performances. In my estimation Tracy's an A+ teacher. She's outstanding.
